Administration
Leading the Davis-Emerson Middle community
Dr. Lucretia Prince, Principal
My name is Dr. Lucretia Prince, and I am very excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Davis Emerson Middle School. I look forward to meeting each of you. Typically, middle school is the time that parents stop being involved within the schools. However, it is my goal and mission to change this narrative. It is during this time that our children need us the most. I encourage and invite you to be a part of the TEAM. This is a TEAM effort and we simply can’t do it without each of you.
We will provide multiple opportunities for you to show up and be involved this year. You will hear more about our PIA Team (Parents in Action). This team will give each of you an opportunity to share with us areas in which you would like to assist and volunteer. This can be being in charge of decorating for holidays, planning special celebrations for the students or staff, moms and dads on duty, outside beautification, fundraising opportunities, and anything else that you think will help move our school forward. Let’s shake up the way we do middle school.
On a personal note, I am married to an amazing and supportive husband. I have two beautiful daughters. One in whom just graduated from college last year and one who is an upcoming senior at Hillcrest High School. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than twenty years. I have served as an adjunct professor for the University of Alabama, administrator at Francis Marion High School, Sipsey Valley Middle School, and my previous assignment as principal at Crestmont Elementary School, where we were recently named as a 2022 National Model Turnaround School. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educational leader to Davis Emerson Middle School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure student success.
With Passion,
Dr. Lucretia Prince
