May 7 Early Dismissal for Holt Attendance Zone Schools

Families in the Holt High Attendance Zone,

Wednesday, May 7, 2025, will be an Early Dismissal Day for all schools in the Holt High Attendance Zone of Tuscaloosa County School System. These schools include:

Cottondale Elementary

Davis-Emerson Middle

Holt Elementary

Holt High

On Wednesday, May 7, these schools will release at their half-day dismissal time. Individual schools will let students and families know their exact half-day dismissal time, as they vary slightly from school to school. The early dismissal is to allow students, families, faculty, and staff the opportunity to attend the Holt High Graduation Ceremony, which will be held Wednesday, May 7, at 4 pm at Coleman Coliseum.  We want anyone who wants to attend graduation to be able to be there to support our students. We appreciate your cooperation in making this possible.

Bus transportation will run to and from school on this day, and breakfast and lunch will be served. There will be no afterschool Extended Day for these schools on Wednesday, May 7.

The Early Dismissal Day for Wednesday, May 7, applies only to the schools listed above and does not apply to any other schools in the Tuscaloosa County School System. All other TCSS schools will operate on a regular schedule for this day.
